Running in water

Dearest Cousin Poppy,
First, I beg your forgiveness for not writing more lately. My life has been so hectic that I don't know where the time goes. But I must tell you the most exciting news. I can run...in the water!
Mummy and Puppaw took me on a road trip on Sunday. First we went to Annapolis, where the floating house lives, but we did not go on the floating house. We went to Puppaw's toy store where he ordered lots of things for upcoming floating house season, he said. Then I had a nap in the car, which was fine with me, because it was pouring rain. Mummy and Puppaw came back to the car, smelling quite yummy, I must say, and off we went. Then again, a nap in the car. This time, Mummy and Puppaw came back with lots of shopping bags. Off we went again. Mummy turned off the highway and went down a windy road. We ended up at the water. They let me out of the car, off the leash! Then, they started throwing things in the water that I just had to have, sticks and balls. I was beside myself. And Puppaw walked down a floating sidewalk and was telling me to come to him and I really, really wanted to, but how could I? The water was so deep. So, I chased Mummy's sticks and whined and whined when they floated away. Then, I lost my head and kept running after the stick, but it was so crazy, Poppy, suddenly, I couldn't feel the ground below my paws, but I kept moving and I didn't sink. It was sooo exciting. And, Mummy and Puppaw were jumping up and down shouting something about "swimming, swimming!" Whatever that is. I have to say, it is the most fun I have every had! It was so exciting, I had to run in the swamp and take a big poo that Mummy and Daddy left for the ducks to eat.
Do you know how to run in the water? If you don't, you really need to try it. Best part, I was very stinky all the way home. I smelled just like the Bay. It was delicious.
